Profile Biography
Growing up on a fruit and vegetable farm in Central PA, I was always involved with Agriculture, and the Science involved in living on a farm. Because of this hands-on upbringing, I persued a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education from Millersville University and a Masters of Science Education from Lebanon Valley College. Throughout my 19 year professional career, I focussed on Agricultural Education. Currently, I am the Director of Science in Motion at Elizabethtown College. Prior employment included Community Outreach Director with the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau providing educational programming about PA agriculture and coordinating the Ag in the Classroom Institute. Previously, I was Project Coordinator with Penn State's Capital Area Institute for Mathematics and Science, a 4-H Youth Development Educator with Penn State Cooperative Extension and an elementary classroom teacher.

My advice is to experience as many different opportunities that you possibly can in order to truly find your passion about a certain area of Science. Don't automatically rule out an opportunity just because you think you may not like it......you might find it is something that you love to do and your life will be opened to many new experiences.
