Profile Biography 
Seasson grew up in Cazenovia, NY and attended Nazareth College. She then worked in a molecular biology lab at the University of Rochester for 3 years before attending graduate school there. She earned her Ph.D. in biochemistry from the University of Rochester in 2008 and did a post-doc there and at Sanford Research in Sioux Falls, SD. She currently teaches genetics, cell biology, molecular biology, cell signaling in the Augustana College biology department, where she also oversees an undergraduate research training grant (NSF REU). Seasson lives in Brandon, SD with her husband Pete, who is also a scientist, and their kids Anna and Renee. Some of her interests are gardening and genealogy.
