Profile Biography
I was born and raised an engineer in San Diego, California!
My dad began trying to teach me basic algebra before I knew how to divide. I remember him trying to explain simple equations like 2x=4 when i was too young to understand. A few years later, I went back to him to ask him about those problems and I've loved math ever since! I soon learned to love physics as well, and from there an engineer was born!
I didn't quite know it at the time, however; I didn't officially chose a major until I had finished all my general education (2 years into college). I knew I loved math and science and Mechanical Engineering appealed most to me out of the engineering majors. It covers a little bit of everything, providing countless opportunities.
I now have a bachelors in mechanical engineering and work for General Dynamics NASSCO as an engineer! I love problem solving and getting my hands dirty! I work with ships, but I love cars and hope to get into the aerospace industry someday!

I love dancing, all types, but I mostly line dance. I really want to learn to Tango. My favorite place to go is the desert. I love driving my old CJ off-road with my family. I have always been drawn to the sky. I love watching the clouds and looking at the stars. I've been skydiving and paragliding. Next on my list is learning to fly an airplane. In my free time, I like to spend time outside, whether at the beach or just in my own front yard.

My new found motto is: "Never be afraid to ask!"
That goes for everything!
If you want something, don't be afraid to ask for it. You never know what's available to you until you start asking!
If you don't understand something or need help, ask!
If you're just plain curious why that person is all dressed up at school on a Saturday, don't be afraid to ask! You just might meet someone interesting.

To the girls reading this, my advice to you is to stay proactive! Don't just go through the day to day drudge. Don't just do your homework and get good grades. Get involved in outside activities. Continue to strive to better yourself and be all you can be! We have such potential if we are just willing to work! There are so many opportunities in this world and there is something for everyone. Find a career that you like so much you WANT to go to work everyday! I did, and it feels amazing!
