Profile Biography
I am a working professional with over 7 years' of experience in engineering domain (mainly aerospace).

My work involves designing & developing automated test rigs for qualifying the aerospace products (mainly sensors & related parts).
These sensors facilitate flight maneuvers, determine aircraft health through prognostics, and enable airlines to provide more comfortable flight to the passengers. That is why they have to comply with stringent airborne standards such as DO-254 & DO-178. I am proud that through my work I am contributing my bit to passenger safety and making sure that our flights and skies are safer than ever.

I am actually the first STEM graduate from my family. And now seeing so many of my cousins & my younger brother also pursue their career in engineering, I feel awesome.

I was always fascinated by how just by writing few lines of code you can make great things happen. This motivated me to pursue compute science engineering. Obviously once I earned my degree and joined my first company, I realized that launching a new product or a website, takes little more than just writing a 'few lines of code'. There is a lot of work and collaboration of many individuals and teams which make this happen. I love my work because it presents challenges to me every day. It motivates me to bring out my creativity & problem solving skills which are indispensable in today's technologically advanced world.
Today when I see the products that I have worked on, in the flights it makes me proud and keeps me going. Currently I am pursing my post graduate diploma in Data Analytics.

I am also an active member of my organization's facilitated 'Employee Resource Group' through which we promote women development in engineering. We also have active engagement with local schools and we organize small sessions & activities to motivate young girls to think about their future and more so in STEM !

When I am not at work I put my creativity into something else. I love to paint & design greeting cards, tags etc. I am also learning mixed media and steampunk projects.
I love creating logos. I have designed few logos for some initiatives that our ERG had launched.

The words that have always inspired me are something I learnt from one of my senior colleague, 'I am not a woman engineer, I am an engineer who happens to be a woman'.
Because after all I am an engineer FIRST and I take proud of being one!
