Profile Biography 
I am a second year graduate student studying bacterial host immune evasion and the potential immunomodulatory capabilities of antibiotic agents within the USC School of Pharmacy. Before beginning my doctoral work, I earned a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Nutrition Sciences from Drexel University in Philadelphia, near where I grew up in New Jersey. I am a co-founder and chapter secretary for the Los Angeles chapter of Graduate Women in Science (GWIS), executive board member for the USC School of Pharmacy's Pharmacy Graduate Alliance, and contributing author to the Scientista Foundation's online advice and resource content. Outside of lab, I enjoy writing short stories, freelance journalism, decorating my tiny apartment, and art.
