Currently the Girls in STEM Ambassador for Thanksgiving Point, a nonprofit farm, garden and museum complex, Renata works to reduce the gender gap of girls in STEM by creating opportunities to make girls feel empowered to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. She has a degree in Environmental Science with a management emphasis and has worked in various fields. Previous to this position, she was an educator at an AZA accredited aquarium in Utah, a field technician for the Ecological Restoration Institute, and created a social sustainability report for the University of Georgia's satellite campus in Costa Rica.
