Profile Biography
With a two year Associates degree, I went to work for a large semiconductor manufacturing company working in a cleanroom environment. It was there that I was able to hone my leadership skills through their advanced on-the-job training Production Operations Management and Leadership Development Certification Programs.
After a few years, I realized that Engineering would be a good fit and a nice balance to the Operations Management. One of the benefits to working within manufacturing is the ability to work 12 hour shifts; allowing for 3 and 4 days off per week - providing plenty of time for continuing education. Another benefit with this manufacturing company was their willingness to pay for employee advanced education. I received my Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering degree and as the Project Manager for one of the Senior Project Design teams, won 1st Place and Best of Show for the Senior Design Poster Competition.
Over the years, I have also worked in University Research Labs and have had the opportunity to be involved in many exciting new technology programs and projects. My most recent career activity involves the advancement of electro-optics and related technologies for the primary benefit of the U.S. warfighter. I am proud of the work that I do and the impact that it has.
