Profile Biography
I am proud Tech Geek and Engineer. My interest in technology has taken me all over the country - from Los Angeles (where I grew up) to the opposite end of the country, Rochester, NY (where I attended the University of Rochester for undergrad). After graduating with a degree in Computer Science, I lived and worked in Colorado for a couple years, then settled in the DC area for over a decade, before returning to California again (but this time in San Francisco).

I have played almost every technical role in software development - starting out my professional career with one of the largest software companies in the world, where I worked as an R&D Software Engineer on an Enterprise Content Management suite of products. After a few years, I left to join a social-networking/e-commerce startup as one of their early developers. When that company did not succeed, I became a co-founder of another startup where I had the role of CTO and built a software product that focused in healthcare/clinical-trials.

Then I spent many years in consulting as the Tech Wizard for InfernoRed Technology where I've applied my knowledge and skills in Software Engineering and User Experience to craft many interesting and complex web, mobile, connected TV applications and distributed cloud systems. I have built software for a variety of small and large private, non-profit, and government clients, including NASA JPL, Conservation International, Sesame Street, Sports Illustrated Play, Discovery Communications, and Microsoft.

The breadth of my experiences has now taken me to Google, where I am currently applying my skillsets as a Site Reliability Engineer.

The more I learn about technology and the people who use it, the more I enjoy my choice of being a woman in this field. I hope that my hard work and achievements will make a difference and bring more diversity and inclusion to the magical world of Software Engineering.
