Profile Biography
It was in a high school chemistry class that I decided to study chemistry. I attended college on a scholarship and studied for the PhD degree on a fellowship. Currently I serve as Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Northeastern University in Boston. I am the Principal Investigator of the Computational Biology Research Group. Our work is in three areas: 1) Learning how enzymes work; 2) Predicting the function of proteins of unknown function; and 3) Providing insights from computation to drug discovery projects.
