Profile Biography
I'm Mari, a research technician turned software developer. I graduated with Honors in Biology at Williams College where I wrote a thesis on a gene found in leech development. After graduating, I worked as a Web Migration Assistant for Williams. I helped members from the Williams community create websites and easily update them. After a year or so, I became a research technician for an autoimmunology lab at the Hospital For Special Surgery. I ran experiments in search of biomarkers for lupus and helped create software which held research information. Although I enjoyed being a research tech, I felt something was missing in my life and looked into different STEM careers. Ultimately, I decided on software development.
