Profile Biography
I was born and raised in Puebla in Mexico. I completed all my basic education and up to University level (B.S. in Physics) education in the state of Puebla in Mexico. I graduated with a master’s degree in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona in 2014 and I am in the process of completing my PhD also in Optical Sciences. Since 2009 I have also been a member of the Pathways program at NASA, where I have been an Optical engineer at NASA Goddard, one of the NASA centers located in Greenbelt, Maryland. At NASA I get to work on space telescopes and building things that are going out to space.
I am also the oldest sister of four, all girls. My sisters all live in Mexico and I go visit them as much as possible. I enjoy traveling and when I am not at NASA I like to Jazzercise (I am an instructor), watch movies and do educational outreach to teach others about optics.
