Profile Biography
I have been an engineer with GM for over 20 years now. My interest in the automotive industry was created by an appreciation of classic cars and my father's encouragement. I thought that engineering would be a good career for me because I love to improve things and I like to be creative. I chose Kettering University because of their cooperative education where I spent half of my college experience working at GM and gaining varied engineering experiences. My life is full of love from my husband and two sons and I have some time for my personal hobbies too. I created a math and science summer day camp for girls called Smarter Girls that I have organized and worked at for the past 8 years. I truly believe technical careers are a great choice for women and strive to get more women involved, especially in engineering where we need more women! There is no limit to the wonderful things you can do for the world if you believe you can!
