Profile Biography
I have been interested in problem solving since I was a little girl. My favorite activities used to be solving word puzzles, math riddles and building things. After excelling in math and science, it was an uncle of mine who suggested I consider engineering. I chose to major in chemical engineering because it had such broad applicability - most products people use every day require chemical engineering! Plus, when I first applied to college, I had hoped I could save the environment by designing processes right in the first place. After college, I started working in the Food & Beverage industry and I have been there ever since. I have worked in manufacturing plants where I helped improve the manufacturing efficiency of these products and it is so fun to smell and taste your favorite products when they come fresh off the production line. I have also helped design new products from scratch as part of Research & Development teams. I love being able to eat and drink what I work on!

These days, I have moved into more of a technical leadership role and will finish my Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in technical management in December 2017.
I have previously served as an after-school middle-school STEM teacher and have given STEM career talks to elementary and high-school students.

I try my best to juggle being an awesome engineer, a part-time student, wife and mommy to a 2-yr-old - every day is a cross between chaos and adventure but I wouldn't have it any other way!
