Profile Biography
I grew up surrounded by science and technology, and I have always enjoyed science and math classes in school. Thanks to supportive parents, family friends, and teachers, I believed that I could do whatever I set my mind to. When I graduated from high school, I knew that I wanted to study Chemical Engineering in college. After college, I accepted a job with The Dow Chemical Company. While working at Dow, I have been able to experience jobs in environmental operations, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and electronic materials. I’ve also lived in Texas, Michigan, and Massachusetts.

Working in a STEM job, and specifically in manufacturing, allows me to use my problem solving and critical thinking skills in exciting ways. I enjoy learning new things and meeting new people while working in a fast-paced industry.

I would like to encourage all young people, especially young girls, to consider a career in STEM. Ask questions, read about science, visit a science museum, be inspired, and believe in yourself.
