Profile Biography
I am American-Nicaraguan, born in San Francisco and raised in Sacramento, CA. I am the first generation in my family to go to college. I was raised by a single mother who never stopped believing in my potential to succeed. Growing up, I was interested in math, science, drafting and any hands-on activities. I participated in Math Engineering Science Achievement (MESA) in elementary school through high school. Being involved in engineering programs helped me determined at a young age that I wanted to be an engineer. I graduated from California State University of Sacramento with a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering. I also have a Master's of Science degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Engineering Management (water resources and business). As a Civil Engineer, I design pipelines, groundwater wells, pump stations and any infrastructure that helps transport drinking water. I have a passion for what I do, and it is my pleasure to help others succeed.
