Profile Biography 
Cristina Marinovici joined Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) as a software engineer in August 2010. At PNNL, as part of the Advance Power and Energy Systems group, Dr. Marinovici is responsible for testing and validation of software tools for projects modeling wind generation integration, power system operations and smart grid.
Before joining PNNL, she held a software engineer position in DB2 group at IBM, OR. She has a MS & PhD in Mathematics from Louisiana State University, an MS in Automated Controls and BS in Computer Science from the Technical University of Iasi in Romania. Her research interests include power system operations, smart grid and renewable energy integration, as well as scientific computing and parallel processing.
She is a member of the IEEE, Society of Women Engineers (SWE), Society of Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM).
