Profile Biography 
My name is Cassie Marrs. I have lived in New Mexico my whole life. In school, I was involved in sports and various organizations including MESA (Math, Engineering, Science, Achievement) and graduated ranked 15/~375. I attended Eastern New Mexico University and have a bachelor's in Forensic Chemistry and a master's in Analytical Chemistry. I worked at Sandia National Laboratories as a student intern while I was in school and eventually was hired on as a full time employee as a R&D Laboratory Support Technologist. In 2021, I began a new job with Amentum as a Scientist 3- Environmental Regulatory Specialist to support the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in New Mexico. I am the President of my local AAUW branch and the Chair of Expanding Your Horizons, a half day STEM camp for middle school girls. I am also a member of the New Network for Women in Science and Engineering.
