Profile Biography
I am a planetary geologist and a postdoctoral fellow at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. My job is mostly researching the ices at the lunar poles, and ice geology and volcanism on other moons and planets throughout the solar system. I am a member on the Diviner Science Team as part of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO), which looks at the temperatures on the Moon.
I am from West Virginia, and received my BS degrees in Physics and Geology at West Virginia University. I then received my PhD in Space and Planetary Science from the University of Arkansas. After my PhD, I moved to Maryland for my postdoc to work at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. I am an outreach advocate and science communicator, and have received the 2018 Ten Outstanding Young Americans award presented by the U.S. Junior Chamber.
