Profile Biography
I live in Providence, Rhode Island and I was born as a triplet. I attended a college preparatory high school, where I played on the soccer team and volunteered as a math tutor. I also took AP science courses such as AP Biology and AP Environmental Science. In my junior year, I did a research project explaining how a gene editing tool known as CRISPR could genetically modify babies. I presented my project in front of a panel of judges. Taking AP science courses and doing my Junior Research project in high school sparked my interest in science and made me realize that I wanted to further pursue science in college.

Upon graduating from high school, I decided to attend Worcester State University with my triplet sister. At Worcester State, I majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. I joined a club known as the Council for Cancer and Research to spread awareness about how cancer develops and can be treated. I also worked as an ESL tutor and was part of the WSU Honors Program. During my last year at Worcester State, I did a research project about how the percentage of sand in soil affects the diversity and population of invertebrates and microorganisms. I graduated from Worcester State in three years Summa Cum Laude in May 2020. I am especially interested in biostatistics, and I plan on applying to graduate school in biostatistics for the Fall of 2022. When I am not studying or working, I love to hang out with my family, play with my pets, take walks, and listen to music. I am very passionate about science and would love to serve as an online mentor and role model for girls that are interested in the STEM field!
