Profile Biography
I am a native Houstonian with a father in a STEM field. I was unsure growing up what I wanted to do for a career, and seriously considered art school, law school, or public service. I ended up pursuing undergraduate degrees in liberal arts and engineering, and have worked in Shell's deepwater project organization since graduation. My engineering degree has given me the opportunity to work on world-class megaprojects alongside leaders in my field, while still affording me the time and money to pursue my non-technical interests. I hope I can show other women the amazing opportunities a STEM degree can provide, and exemplify a well-rounded engineer via my non-technical pursuits.
