Profile Biography
I am the Environmental Education Program Manager at SD1 - Sanitation District No. 1. Having been at SD1 since 2010, I am a key member of the Communication Department. I coordinate education programming that reaches over 60 elementary schools in Northern Kentucky.

Growing up in Dayton, Ohio, I studied education at Ohio University. There I participated in the CARE partnership, which explored the impact of social, emotional and economic factors on student learning. I also spent time teaching in Ghana for a study abroad program, creating and instructing integrated science lessons and was the recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award in 2008. I then pursued my master's degree of environmental science at Miami University and instructed science laboratory classes.

Currently, I am involved in the community through One to One Reading Mentoring Program guiding students weekly to become proficient and confident. I also serves as a mentor to students at St. Augustine Elementary School and I help her "sister" reach her full potential through the Big Brother, Big Sister program.

I compete in races, plays team volleyball, coach 8th grade volleyball, participate in a book club and enjoy camping, attending Cincinnati Reds games and the outdoors. Whether I am protecting the environment, working with students, interacting with business associates or running a marathon, I am leading in my unique way.
