Profile Biography
Hello my name is Anna Klenke and I have been working as a structural engineer for about 1.5 years in Louisville Kentucky. Our office designs large span complex bridges. Currently we are designing two tied arch bridges over Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley in Western Kentucky.

While at West Virginia University I held officer positions in Chi-Epsilon, SWE, and ASCE. I participated or ran events such as Concrete Canoe and Hardy Cross Presenter for ASCE, 8th Grade Day and Girl Scout day for SWE, and spoke to many incoming freshman and younger students. I also have attended many conferences from the time I started engineering school and would encourage this type of involvement. I held internships in environmental engineering, construction management, and taught a college algebra recitation.

After graduating with my bachelors in 2010, I attended Purdue University to receive a Master in Structural Engineering. While at Purdue University I was a research assistant in the Bowen Laboratory for Large-Scale Civil Engineering Research on the project “An Investigation on the Response of Splices in Reinforced Concrete Walls Subjected to Displacement Reversals.” The project looked at reinforcement splice lengths and location in shear walls located in seismic zones, and was in response to a building collapse that occurred during the Chile 2010 earthquake.
